3:15 am rolled around way too soon. Brad and I had gone to bed so late the night before due to our suitcase debacle, but we were really pumped for the race ahead!
For the 5K Brad and I decided to be Jessie and Buzz from Toy Story.

Having fun before the run starts.
The morning of the 5K was a lot colder then we were expecting! So we threw on the tech shirts I was given by Disney underneath our costume shirts. Thank you Disney for these long sleeves!
We took the 4:00 am bus and arrived a lot earlier then we had to. But I would rather be early then late! For the 5K and 10K runs only six buses ran. Six because these were the smaller races for the week (10,000 runners), Because we were the last pick up stop at the Caribbean Beach Resort (there are six-seven stops I believe), we had to make sure we were there early because once the buses became full from the other stops it would not stop at ours. Luckily, my timing was always right so I never had to wait long.
Once we arrived I became SO excited! I almost forgot how good the energy at a RunDisney event is.

Soooo many people!
Brad and I waited for Elsbeth (one of my sorority sisters who moved to Orlando and works for Disney now!) and Daisy (Elsbeth's good friend who also works for Disney) to arrive. Brad and I wanted all of us to start together!
For some reason I don't have a picture of all of us :( Elsbeth & I.
Because I was running four runs in four days, and this was the shortest distance, I wanted to use this run to get comfortable. So I wanted to run as much of it as I could. I say as much as I could because:
1. There are so many people who start together, and the course is so narrow, that you need to bob and weave between people. So it's hard to keep a steady pace.
2. Brad doesn't run. He did this run to support me, but he does not run.
When the fireworks for our corral went off, Brad and I began to run.

Mile 1 at his first 5K!
Due to the fact we were in corral D (they only went up to E) all of the character lines were sooo long. So we did not stop to take any pictures with characters.
The 5K was an equal part running and walking for us. Brad never asked me to slow down. He kept a great pace. I am so proud of him for completing his first 5K!
Our 5K time: 43:32.
During this run, my sneakers REALLY began to hurt my feet. I have been wearing the same style sneakers for about a year now. The Reebok DMXSky. I bought a pair last March - wore them until the Hartford Full - and then bought another pair. Up until the 5K, I was very comfortable in them.
This was the start to some very miserable feet!
After, Brad, Elsbeth and I went to Magic Kingdom to celebrate!

1 down, 3 to go!
